What Countries Besides America will be Blessed?

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Genesis 12:3

Eleven minutes after Israel proclaimed their national Independence on May 14, 1948, the United States of America’s President Harry S. Truman formally announced the official US recognition of Israel as the home of the Jewish people. This came nearly 2,000 years after the Jews were defeated and dispersed by the Romans in 70 A.D.  When Israel proclaimed their Independence, Truman had been deciding whether to support Israel. It came so close to the end of WWII, and many in his own administration were vehemently against recognizing Israel’s right to exist fearing yet another war beginning, this one between the Arab countries and Israel. Even General Douglas MacArthur, who led the USA to victory in the Pacific during WWII was adamantly opposed to making this move. But President Truman, a strong Christian, went against his advisor’s wishes and instead did what the Bible said he should have done. He blessed the return of the Jews to Israel and recognized the Abrahamic, God Promised Land as THEIR homeland. Yes, there were resulting wars between the Arabs and the Jews but guess what? The Jews ALWAYS won! God was on their side!

“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

Zechariah 12:3

“And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

Zechariah 12:9

In spite of those resulting wars, Israel grew and flourished, even though the United Nations (formed shortly before Israel’s Declaration of Independence) has for 70+ years been extremely anti-Israel. They remain so even to this day issuing more human rights citations by Israel than all other countries in the world COMBINED. Countries like North Korea, Iran, China, Cuba, etc. COMBINED have not been cited as many times as Israel!  But do you know what else happened after Truman recognized Israel’s right to exist? The United States grew into the most powerful country in the history of the world, both economically, militarily and politically. Coincidental? Not if you believe in what the Bible says. Under President Obama, whose many blatantly anti-Israel policies (Iran nuclear deal; the first ever US decision to not veto anti-Israel UN condemnation; using State Department funds against the re-election of Netanyahu; etc.) hurt the USA. Just think about all the many problems our country endured between 2008 and 2016 economically, politcally, racially, and, in so many other areas.

Then a businessman, very rough around the edges, overwhelmingly (at least by the Electoral College) defeated the generally assumed next expected President of the USA, Hillary Clinton. Donald J. Trump became the 45th President and within a very short time period he did what no other US President had ever done. Even though a vast majority of the US Congress voted with bipartisan agreement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel back in the 90’s while Bill Clinton was President, neither Clinton, Bush nor Obama would ever officially announce it fearing the potential Arab backlash. But, Trump did on December 6, 2017! He then moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on May 14, 2018, the 50th anniversary of their proclamation of Independence. He recently also officially recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, an area originally designated by the UN as part of Israel but stolen by Jordan during the 1948 War of Independence. And, he spoke strongly against the BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) global movement, a clearly anti-Semitic movement. Just recently, he signed an Executive order forcing ALL universities that receive Federal funds to fight anti-Semitism on college campuses. Whether you love Trump or hate Trump, you simply cannot deny the U.S. today is in a historic period of unimaginable prosperity. We have been Blessed mightily because, I believe, God is Blessing us because we are Blessing Israel. And, lest we ever forget…

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”

Psalm 33:12

Did you know in 1917 Lord Balfour of Great Britain proclaimed what is called the Balfour Doctrine, recognizing the inherent rights of the Jewish people to their own homeland? Did you know at the time Great Britain was perhaps the strongest economy in the world? Finally, did you know the Balfour Doctrine was later rescinded by The White Paper of 1939 and, very shortly thereafter, Great Britain was attacked by Germany which began the start of WWII?  With that war Great Britain lost their global economic power! When the United Nations voted after the end of WWII in December 1947, to basically split up the British Palestinian Mandate between Jordan and Israel, Great Britain DID NOT even vote pro or con. This “curse” on Great Britain has had negative affects for them to this very day. On the plus side, newly elected UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was overwhelmingly elected as Prime Minister beating vocally anti-Semitic, Labour Party candidate Jeremy Corbyn, and vowing to finally implement Brexit. He has also proclaimed the UK would move their embassy to Jerusalem in recognition of Jerusalem belonging to the Jews. He has also banned BDS from Great Britain and instead is looking to form a new trade agreement between the UK and Israel.

Many countries have recognized WEST Jerusalem as the Jewish capital of Israel (or have opened trade offices as a prelude to moving their embassies there) and East Jerusalem as belonging to the Palestinians.  Actually, in all fairness, Russia was the very first country to recognize Jerusalem as the Jewish capital of Israel BUT only West Jerusalem, not the entire city as God Promised. Both the EU, the United Nations, the Vatican, and most other countries and organizations officially favor Jerusalem being the capital for BOTH the Jewish people and the Palestinians.

Why does the sovereignty of Jerusalem belong solely to the Jewish people?

“And he built altars in the house (Holy Jewish Temple) of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.”

2 Kings 21:4

“And unto his son will I give ONE (capitals mine) tribe (Jews), that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen to put my name there.”

1 Kings 11:36

Not only did God tell us He has put His Name on the City of Jerusalem, not just West Jerusalem, BUT all of Jerusalem, but He gave it to ONE people, the Jewish people from the House of David! If you take these few Scriptures together God clearly tells us that all of Jerusalem has been given to the Jewish people; He has put His name on the city and He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. It doesn’t get any clearer than that!

“The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.”

Psalm 128:5

So, be on the lookout for the fulfillment of prophecies regarding God’s Promise to bless those who bless Israel. God DOES NOT lie! I truly believe, as a Believer, those countries, organizations and people who continue to fight against Israel and her God Given Promises will be cursed and those who support Israel will either continue to be blessed or will finally be blessed. Keep an eye on the UK to see if PM Johnson lives up to his commitment. Keep an eye on the US if the next President reverses the support of Israel and the many blessings we as a nation have received under President Trump. Take comfort in knowing for many, many years God’s Promises have been fulfilled EXACTLY as He said they would. One day the entire world will turn on Israel in one final war (Armageddon) in an attempt to annihilate the Jewish people and the world will be defeated! But, in their defeat Jesus will Return and Reign for 1,000 years on this earth FROM Jerusalem with Peace and Righteousness! That is comforting!

“Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.”

Psalm 135:21

If you believe in the inerrancy of the Bible, if you believe God never lies, and if you believe one day Jesus will Reign in Peace and Righteousness from Jerusalem, then tell others! We are not to keep His message to ourselves but share it. Tough times are coming soon and will frighten all who do not know of His Promise to us. But as Believers we ARE NOT in darkness. He told us what is coming. If this comforts you, as it does me, then help me to “…therefore comfort one another with these words.”

May God Bless you as we Bless Israel!

Thank you for telling the truth here and now in these troubled times. I pray our nation will continue to support Israel. We have a big challenge ahead to keep America one nation under God, let all believers stand up and be heard in word and deed to proclaim God’s commands.

If Harry S. Truman had not become President, many of us would not be living in the USA today.
