“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Genesis 12:3
God made an unbreakable Covenant in the Book of Genesis with Abraham, the father of the Jewish people and their God Promised Land of Israel. One of the things God Promised them was that He would protect them by Blessing or Cursing those that Blessed or Cursed them. History has shown time and time again, God ALWAYS abides by His Promises!
Even though there have recently been reports of a coming, imminent economic recession, the United States has enjoyed over these past two years unprecedented growth in the stock market; unemployment rates for ALL groups of people (African Americans, Hispanic, Asian, women, young people) hitting at or below all-time levels; GDP growth levels not seen in over a decade; an increase in home ownership; wage growth at the highest levels in decades; hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs are returning to America; tax cuts that positively affected almost ALL who pay Federal income taxes (not just the wealthy and remember over 50% of Americans pay ZERO in Federal Income taxes); and, for the first time the U.S. is both energy independent AND a net exporter of oil and gas. Today, the U.S. has the STRONGEST economy in the entire world while countries and groups like China, Russia, the European Union, etc. are in economic decline. In fact, the United States with less than 5% of the global population enjoys an economy that is larger than the entire world combined! Do I sound like a broken record of Donald J. Trump’s accomplishments? The results are indisputable! If you are a Republican you will claim these successes are the result of the Trump tax cuts, foreign policy and the elimination of many regulations imposed under the last administration. If you are a Democrat you are claiming this growth is nothing more than the results of policies and plans implemented by President Obama during his presidency.
To be fair to President Obama, he DID take over as the U.S. entered the “great recession” left over from the Republican Bush (#43) Administration. He tried many things to turn around the economy, including coming up with a “shovels ready’ jobs policy that spent hundreds of millions without creating ONE SINGLE JOB! And unfortunately, during his 8 years in office, tens of millions of Americans entered poverty and went on food stamps just to survive while he implemented many polices which hurt American jobs and the economy. He raised taxes. He added many regulations which added costs and requirements to almost every industry.
So, do we give credit to President Trump for all the good things happening today in our economy? Or, do we give President Obama credit for having the foreknowledge to implement policies that would take years to come to fruition but which we are now enjoying today?
Neither!
Only to God can we give thanks and praise for the BLESSINGS He has bestowed upon the United States of America!
“Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse. A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”
Deuteronomy 11:26-28
The Bible is very specific! If we obey His Word, we will be Blessed. If we fail to obey His Word, we will be Cursed. It doesn’t get much clearer than this. If we are currently being Blessed with strong economic results but were recently Cursed with uncertainty and pain, what is the reason for this difference? Go back to the opening quoted Scripture, “…I (God) will bless them that bless thee (Israel) and I (God) will curse them that curse thee (Israel).” Here we are all told God WILL Bless us if we Bless Israel and He will Curse us if we Curse Israel! As anti-Semitism rises throughout the world the Curse is apparent to all who are watching. As we get closer to the Last Days we are personally witnessing prophecies given thousands of years ago being fulfilled in our lifetimes EXACTLY as the Bible said they would.
This ultimately leads us back to the purpose of this article. Under the Obama’s Administration the U.S. suffered in the “great recession”. Our economy and our lives were negatively impacted as God’s Curse affected us all. And the day Trump won the election (not at his inauguration, but literally THE day of his election) as the 45th President of the United States, we began to see the Blessings emerge. The stock market rallied and consumer confidence rose dramatically. Why? I vehemently disagree with Mr. Trump. Even though he made the comment, he is NOT the Jewish Messiah or the “chosen one”!!! Hopefully, these were nothing more than facetious Trump jokes, but things for the U.S. have definitely changed for the better in the past 2-3 years.
If you go back to the Obama Administration, it was undeniably the most anti-Israel administration in American history. It created the unverifiable Iranian “nuclear arms deal” with the Iranians, who financially back global terrorists groups vowing the total destruction of Israel (‘the little Satan”) and it gave BILLIONS of dollars to the Iranian government. They invited the Muslim Brotherhood into the White House, a labeled anti-Semitic terrorist group. They opposed the populist overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt, a country now on good terms with Israel. They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars from the State Department in an attempt to undermine Benjamin Netanyahu’s re-election campaign in Israel (wait a minute, didn’t Russia attempt to do that to us in 2016?). Do you remember the Obama Apology Tour or being the very first President of the United States to bow to the king of Saudi Arabia, a Muslim? And, for the first time in history the United States, as a member of the Security Council at the United Nations, failed to back Israel in the condemnation by the UN. While there are many, many more examples of anti-Semitism within the Obama Administration, let me leave with you the fact that by their actions, the U.S. cursed Israel from 2009 through 2016 and we were cursed as a result!
Then, Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States, having run on a campaign promise that if he was elected he would officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This acknowledgement of the inherent rights of the Jewish people to governmental control of Jerusalem had previously been overwhelmingly passed by the U.S. House of Representatives in 1995 by a vote of 374-37 and the Senate by a vote of 93-5 but neither Clinton, Bush, nor Obama would ever officially implement the recognition, citing potential threats to Israel. Not since President Truman on May 14, 1948, when he called the Prime Minister of Israel within minutes recognizing Israel’s declaration of their independence, has a President of the U.S. showed such resolve and support of Israel. But Trump did by finally recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a move that has now been duplicated by a few other countries. He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem to cement this commitment, a move also being followed by other countries (even Russia!). He pulled the U.S. out of the Iranian nuclear arms deal and imposed sanctions on Iran which has crippled their economy. Under former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, the U.S. has staunchly supported Israel using their veto power to offset the blatantly biased United Nation’s anti-Semitic condemnations of Israel. In so many ways, whether it is the support of Israel militarily or the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelming (398-17) condemnation of the global BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement, which unfortunately is today supported by the UN and a number of other countries, including many of our allies (and a few in Congress).
What does all this mean? No, Donald Trump is neither the Jewish Messiah nor is he the anti-christ. Rather, he is the “spokesman” for the American people who overwhelmingly support the Nation of Israel and the Jewish right to aliyah. Read my past post What is Aliyah and what is its importance in Biblical End Times? to have a better understanding of what this means for prophecy. By showing the AMERICAN support for Israel, we have been Blessed exactly as God said we would be IF we blessed Israel. No question, the day will probably return when we will no longer bless Israel, but will instead curse them. At that time, the United States of America will be CURSED. Don’t believe me BUT believe what God told us. To Him alone deserves all credit for the wonderful economy, peace and prosperity we are currently enjoying.
“O give thanks to the Lord of lords; for his mercy endureth for ever. To him who ALONE (capitals mine) doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth forever.”
Psalm 136:3-4
The beauty of Bible prophecy is if we believe in the Holy Bible and put our faith and trust in a God who ALWAYS does what He says He will do, we as Believers know way ahead of time what to expect from a sinful and unrepentant world. We also know what awaits for us in Heaven and should not be afraid of what we witness and endure here on this earth prior to the Coming Reign of Jesus Christ. It is taking this comfort in knowing much, much better things are awaiting us that inspires me to continue to let others know what the Bible says regarding the Last Days. If you agree and are comforted by God’s Holy Word, please do as we are ALL told to do and that is to “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” If you do that, you will be fulfilling God’s Plan for us and we will be Blessed beyond anything we can ever imagine.
May God continue to Bless you as you give Him the credit where credit is due!
