I am very saddened to report that Hal Lindsey passed away November 25, 2024 at 95 years of age. Mr. Lindsey had a phenomenal impact on my Christian faith and interest in Bible prophecy when I read his famous book “The Late Great Planet Earth“. I read it in June of 1976 and started reading it at 10:30 that night. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN and read it in it’s entirety that night. Since then I have read hundreds of other books on Bible prophecy and yes, studied the Bible cover to cover to discover God’s message to us regarding what is coming. He was the greatest single human influence on me in starting my Bible prophecy blog, www.comfortoneanother.com.
While he will be surely missed by tens and tens of millions of Believers around the world who have had their eyes opened to Bible prophecy, I take comfort in knowing he is today with Jesus Christ in Heaven awaiting those of us he taught. May God Bless his legacy and I look forward to the day I can thank him personally for enlightening me.

He was the biggest impact in my life regarding bible prophecy. In a time in the 70’s when I knew nothing about it – he made it understandable. Due to his impact I’ve been interested in it & the news that goes on in the world to this day. His teaching surely helped many of us to put so much in perspective & understand what’s going on in the world. There have been a lot of good books but none that was a memorable & more impactful than Late Great Planet Earth for me. I wonder if I would have been as interested in prophecy & following what’s happening in the world if I would not have had the foundation of Hal Lindsey’s teaching. I still tell people today that are just beginning a study of bible prophecy to read Late Great Planet Earth.
