” The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants suffer for their guilt; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched, and few men are left.”

Isaiah 24:5-6

So, is “climate change” man-made or simply a fulfillment of God’s Judgement on an unbelieving world?

YES!!!

Throughout the Bible God has used weather as a punishment for man’s sins. Going back to the Book of Genesis and the story of Noah and the Ark, we are told that God Himself was disappointed in what He had created and what it had become. (“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on earth, and it grieved him at his heart.“  Genesis 6:5-6). God saw an evil world and decided that it must be judged for its iniquities. “And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.” – Genesis 6:7. Fortunately, He saw one man, Noah, was righteous and worthy of being saved. He then instructed Noah to build an Ark, gather two of every living creature and when all was completed and the doors of the Ark were sealed with Noah and his family inside, God opened the heavens so that it rained for 40 days and nights until all the evil men in the world were dead.

Another example of man-made “climate change” was God’s judgement on Ahab who had caused all to worship the false god Baal:” And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, as the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be any dew or rain these years, but according to my word.” – 1 Kings 17:1. Since Ahab had angered God more than all the kings of Israel before him (1 Kings 16:33), God saw it was necessary to punish Ahab and his followers for their sins and He used the lack of rain, as prophesied by Elijah, to punish them for their idolatrous worship of Baal. Not only are there numerous examples in the Bible of punishment from God using weather but we are also told in the Last Days those punishments will continue and worsen against a sinful world:

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God; which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”

Revelation 16:8-9

“The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.”

Deuteronomy 28:22

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

Revelation 8:7

Interestingly, in every example of God’s punishment of an evil world, He ALWAYS takes the righteous believers out of harm’s way, whether it was Noah in the Ark; Lot out of Sodom and Gomorrah before the “rain” of hail and brimstone; Elijah out of Gilead; and many other examples. We know from Paul there are coming many punishments in the Last Days to an unbelieving world BUT the believers in Christ WILL NOT suffer through them due to the Rapture of the faithful:

“For God hath NOT (capitals mine) appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 5:10

Climate change, regardless of what the environmentalists, conservatives or progressives say IS man-made BUT NOT BECAUSE of burning fossil fuels and driving cars! The Flood of Noah did not occur because of burning fossil fuels. The brimstone and fire of Lot did not occur because of cow flatulence. It was a rebuke from God for the sinful nature of man and his unwillingness to accept the Lord! So long as the world continues down the path of unrighteousness, it will endure the wrath of God for its sinful ways. The discussion of all should not be whether we should participate in the Paris Climate Treaty or ban the use of fossil fuels but rather how do we make the world more of a God fearing and worshipping people. If we cannot understand this basic premise, God WILL punish the world for sin, any other discussion is meaningless.

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee.”

Deuteronomy 28:15

We live in a very difficult, fast changing world. “But the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and desires for other things enter in and choke the WORD (the Bible – capitals mine), and it proves unfruitful.”– Mark 4:19. Climate change will continue and, in fact, will get worse UNLESS the world repents of their sin and seeks forgiveness from Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, we know from the Bible that this WILL NOT happen, and the sin and iniquity of this world will get even worse, if that was even possible. But take note, God has promised us that we who believe in Jesus will be “snatched” away at the Rapture so we won’t have to endure the terrible things, including climate-change, that will occur in the Last Days. For that we should take comfort and “…therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Please share this message with your family and friends to make sure all have heard the Promises of God.

May God Bless you!
