What if Mary had decided to have an abortion?

“All things were made by him (God); and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

John 1:3-4

Over the past 5 1/2 years I have attempted to explain Bible prophecy without getting into political discussions because I strongly believe there are many on both sides of the aisle who believe In Jesus Christ as their Saviour but who disagree with each other on some political and/or cultural issues. Unfortunately, we were recently confronted with the issue of abortion and the federal rights of a woman to choose whether to end a pregnancy and that brought to life the discussion of whether you can in your heart endorse abortion and still call yourself a saved Christian.

Throughout prophecy there are many examples of End Times political issues (one world government, the Mark of the Beast, a governmental imposed economic system, lawlessness, etc.) which we are in fact witnessing coming to fruition TODAY. So, to those of you who may believe abortion has nothing to do with being a Christian, you are not following what the Bible clearly tells us, especially the fifth Commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.” The more I study Bible prophecy (I have now been studying it for 46 years) the more political this world appears to becoming in these Last Days as Satan prepares for his final effort to deceive us about everything God has clearly told us.

“Before I (God) formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.”

Jeremiah 1:5

First of all, if you believe in God and believe in Jesus, you must accept the truth of the Bible and that is we are not the result of a Big Bang theory and evolution but were rather Created by God Himself FOR A PURPOSE (“…set apart”). Being omniscient and all powerful, He knew each and everyone of us intimately BEFORE the Creation and before we were born. This means He also knew those 63 million children (83 million if you count the additional 20 million babies aborted by use of the “morning after” pill) since Roe vs. Wade which legalized abortions was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973. At Creation, God made each of us in His image which also allowed us to make choices. Adam and Eve were given that ability to choose and they decided to go against God’s commandment to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. For that mankind was damned to the consequences of sin.

In His pure Grace and Mercy, not wishing anyone to suffer the eternal consequences of sin, God came to earth as a baby to ultimately and personally pay the wages of sin for every human being that ever lived IF they only would accept His Gift of Salvation by accepting He died a cruel human death and rose again as final and complete payment for our sins. If we do this we are promised an eternal life in Heaven with Him. But in order for him to be born as a human, He had to first pick a woman to bear him in pregnancy and in doing so He found Mary to be righteous and told her of His plans.

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”

Luke 1:38

Please remember Mary was a young teen when she was visited by the angel and told she would become pregnant with the Son of God. She was betrothed to Joseph but the wedding had not yet been consumated. She was a virgin and had a hard time understanding how she could become pregnant while still a virgin. The angel explained it to her and she accepted the task the angel told her. But she still had other problems!

“But while he (Joseph) thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary they wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:20-21

At the time, Jewish law demanded a betrothed woman not yet married was to be stoned to death if it was discovered she was pregnant. Here, not only was Mary pregnant but her “fiancé” Joseph was NOT even the father! It was his duty to have her condemned to death by being stoned for her sin. While thinking about this, an angel approached him and told him God’s Plan for Mary. Joseph then did the right thing and supported her. The rest is history! Jesus was born, lived a sin free life, was crucified and took the sins of the world upon Himself as THE sacrifice to God, and rose from the dead in complete fulfillment of previous Biblical prophecy.

Which brings us to the question at hand, “What if Mary had decided to have an abortion?” Where would we be if Jesus Christ had been aborted? What if she feared being stoned to death for becoming pregnant as a young teen previously betrothed to her future husband Joseph? While abortions 2,000 years ago were extremely rare, sacrifices of newborn babies to the god of Baal were not (Child Sacrifice to the god of Baal & Abortion Today ). One way or the other, Mary could have theoretically prevented Jesus from growing up and fulfilling God’s Promise first made in Genesis 3:15, “And I (God) will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman (Israel), and between thy seed (evil followers of Satan) and her seed (Jesus); it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Instead she followed God’s Word and gave birth to the Saviour of the world.

I have heard many pro-lifers proclaim of the 63 million (perhaps as many 83 million) babies aborted, how many would have possibly gone on to do wonderous things? Things like finding a cure for cancer? Folks that would have governed in politics and made the world a better place to live? Become rich and feed the poor? The list goes on and on. I know by researching this post I learned the mothers of a number of babies that refused to have abortions even though their doctors recommended it and went on to give birth to folks like Cher, Tim Tebow, Celine Dion, Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Pope John Paul II, etc. Statistically, we have to agree there have been many children born who could have made the world a much better place. And yes, there are probably some number who could have been influenced by Satan to make the world a worse place. However, belief and faith in Jesus and following His Word only results in good, not evil. While the discussion and perhaps even banning abortions in some states, the fact is, after the coming Rapture of all the true believers in Jesus, abortions will come back to being rampant with no accountability nor regret for killing an unborn child. That is what the world will be like during the 7 year Tribulation period.

Think about the hypocrisy of our laws. In most states abortion has been legal BUT if someone kills a pregnant woman, they can be charged with TWO counts of murder. So, its OK to kill an unborn baby because they are not a living being but kill the mother who is pregnant and now they are held accountable?

Since I have probably upset some with this post, let me remind all the Bible is clear about taking an innocent life. To select a woman’s right to choose over God’s Word is absolutely being hypocritical. As the Bible clearly tells us all in Job 27:8 “For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul.” Simply put, you cannot call yourself a believing Christian and endorse the murder of an unborn child who has been given life by the Almighty God! The Almighty God had a Plan for the salvation of mankind even after they disobeyed His Law:

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder…Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever.”

Isaiah 9:6-7

Remember, these are not my words. They are God’s Word in the Bible! My words are not intended to further divide us but rather to ensure all know God’s knowledge of each of us from eternity past, even before we were formed in the womb. He has a plan for each and every person ever conceived and our attempt to disrupt His Plan will bring His Judgement. Killing an unborn child Created by God is a sin and as Jesus said in Matthew 7:23 to those who may Satanically attempt to justify their support for abortion, “And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Be aware of His warnings to us and “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” It is not yet too late to reverse course and live by the Word of God. Make sure all your friends know this and support all women who elect to follow His intent and His Words.

May God Bless you!!!

I do appreciate your message about abortion. I have found biblical evidence to convince those who are supporting abortion. May God bless you abundantly.
