“Even so, WHEN YOU SEE ALL THESE THINGS (capitals mine), you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, THIS GENERATION (capitals mine) will not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
Many of the headlines in the news today most assuredly point to the soon and total fulfillment of Bible prophecy, perhaps even within the next few days, weeks or months ahead. If I were to list them (which I will do shortly) you might be dumbfounded that not only are these events happening together in our world today but that they were ALL specifically prophesied over 2,000 years ago to ALL occur in the “latter days”. If you know what the Bible says will happen in the “latter days” and you today saw ALL of them happening at the exact same time, could you honestly dismiss them as pure coincidence? Or, would you finally acknowledge God has indeed given us a glimpse into the future so that we might be prepared for His Final Plan which is soon to come upon this earth?
But please take comfort in knowing He wants us through His Word to be fully aware of what is soon coming…
“Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets (authors of the Bible).”
And in His Mercy, He also Promised us:
“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also WILL KEEP THEE (via the Rapture) FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION (Tribulation), WHICH SHALL COME UPON ALL THE WORLD, TO TRY THEM THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH (capitals mine).”
The Lord has given us His Word, the Holy Bible, to let us know beforehand His Plan for this world. If we read His Plan or if we hear His Plan as outlined in the Holy Bible, and then personally witness those prophecy fulfillments in a way never, ever seen before then I believe we must all immediately wake up and tell others as quickly as possible we are indeed living in “…this generation” and that He has revealed “…His plan to His servants” so we must be prepared and tell others so they also may be saved.
What are some of these news headlines we have seen in just the past few days or weeks?
- Many countries have gathered together in Vienna for discussions with Iran regarding their continuation of uranium enrichment and bringing the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) back into existence, even though Iran has said they will not negotiate directly with the USA.
- Repeated calls meanwhile for the total destruction of Israel by Iranian leaders.
- Iran vows to retaliate militarily if Israel unilaterally and preemptively attacks their nuclear sites.
- The largest exercise of public safety drills in Israel’s history, admonishing all to quickly get into their bomb shelters as directed during the drills.
- The UN citing the City of Jerusalem Temple Mount as being a Muslim holy site which actually belongs to the Palestinians.
- Trump’s Abraham Accords to bring peace to the Middle East.
- Civil war in Syria with Russia, Iran and Turkey all involved helping the Assad regime keep power.
- Russia placing between 100,000-175,000 troops on Ukraine border for a probable soon invasion of Ukraine.
- Turkey, a member of NATO, is aligning themselves with Russia instead of the USA and her allies.
- Russia, Turkey and Iran have established a military agreement between themselves in Syria for the first time in history.
- The United States horrible withdrawal from Afghanistan (interestingly, Afghanistan in ancient days was part of Magog), and this has caused our allies to seriously doubt the US would ever come to their defense.
- Inflation is at its highest level in nearly 40 years and expected to go much higher in 2022.
When you look at all these headlines and how they relate to Bible prophecy, you can, with some assumptions, put them together in a way that could literally ALL be fulfilled in a relatively short period of time in the very near future. Just as a reminder, let me tell you how the headlines relate to Bible prophecies today made 2,000 to 2,600 years ago:
- The destruction of Elam (western Iran) and dispersion of those people throughout the world. (Could Elam be the trigger that starts the War of Gog and Magog?)
- The total and final destruction of Damascus in Syria. Isiah 17:1-3 & Jeremiah 49 (The Destruction of Damascus Revisited)
- The people in Israel will finally be living in peace and safety. (Will there finally be Peace, War, or Both in Israel?)
- Vows by a confederacy of Arab countries to destroy their neighbor Israel – Psalm 83. (The War of Psalm 83)
- Invasion of Israel by Russia, Turkey, Iran, et.al in the War of Gog and Magog – Ezekiel 38 & 39. (The War of Gog and Magog)
- No help from anyone in the world against the invasion. Only God comes to Israel’s rescue. (Why the U.S. will NOT come to the aid of Israel.)
- A global leader confirming the Abrahamic Covenant giving the Jews the right to their land and the ability to build their 3rd Temple on the Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem. ((BREAKING NEWS – the Anti-Christ is ID’d!!)
Are you still with me? After thinking very long and hard on this, I wanted to put all which is currently happening in the world today in the context of Bible prophecy. Since the Bible does not specifically say all these things will happen exactly as laid out as I have but only that they will all happen in the last generation and in the “…latter days”, I wanted to lay out a hopefully plausible scenario that could easily take one event into the next and then into the next. My intent here is not to change or add anything to what the Bible says but rather to simply lay out these prophecies in a way that becomes much clearer the closer we get to Jesus’s Soon Return. While I admit it is speculation on my part as to the order in which they occur God’s Promises as written in the Bible will be 100% fulfilled. I have prayed on this and feel this could very well be the scenario we will soon see happening. Here we go:
“They have said, Come and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in rememberance.”
While many Arab/Muslim countries in the Middle East since May 14, 1948, and the founding of modern-day Israel as a sovereign nation, have repeatedly gone to war against Israel and have done so in order to drive them “…into the sea”, none have ever been successful in doing so. Little Israel, with fewer than 1 million people, in 1948 was attacked by a confederation of nations with a combined population of over 100 million and they still could not defeat Israel. But Iran (in ancient times known as Persia) has had the desire to reconstruct their past Persian Empire and have not only threatened Israel repeatedly with destruction but have financed and encouraged their terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, etc. in the hope they would be finally successful in destroying Israel. These are all terrorist groups located today in Syria, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and in other areas bordering Israel. They also haven’t been able to defeat Israel! And they won’t! But it sure looks like they meet the requirement of the coming War of Psalm 83 where the countries surrounding Israel will attack and be defeated by Israel’s army (the IDF).
At the same time, in an effort to thwart Saudi Arabian Sunni influence in the Middle East, Iran has been seeking to develop a nuclear bomb. For this, President Obama attempted through the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) thought he could halt Iran’s uranium enrichment for at least 7 years. Instead, Iran continued their efforts and President Trump walked away from the JCPOA agreement in 2018 and put major economic sanctions on Iran’s leaders. While this slowed their progress, they have continued their efforts and now President Biden has rejoined the agreement with hopes they can renegotiate with Iran to cease their ongoing nuclear efforts. Unfortunately, the Iranian leaders have publicly stated they will not negotiate with the US in the same room and want all economic sanctions to be lifted before proceeding further.
Meanwhile, Israel has been very public on their rebuttal of the JCPOA and have said they will, if necessary, take unilateral action to ensure Iran NEVER has a nuclear bomb. If you recall on June 7, 1981, Israel bombed the unfinished nuclear reactor in Iraq when Saddam Hussein also declared his goal of developing a nuclear bomb. They did this unilaterally and were efficient enough to cause Iraq to permanently stop their nuclear program. In April 2021 Israel also admitted to a cyber-attack on Iran’s nuclear facility, doing severe damage and slowing their nuclear program. An attack very soon by Israel on Iran’s nuclear program should not be a surprise to anyone considering their previous actions to ensure Israel’s continuity and safety.
I recently saw an interview with famed prophetic author Amir Tsarfati, an Israeli Messianic Jew, who said there have been more frequent and larger national safety exercises to get all citizens into bunkers ASAP at a level he has never seen before. Apparently, Israel is getting their citizens prepared for something. But here is where it becomes very interesting in light of Bible prophecy.
Iran’s nuclear facilities are located primarily in western Iran on the Persian Gulf. This is an area that in ancient times was referred to as Elam. In my article above I quote the Bible which talks about the “…end” of Elam and how the people in that area will be dispersed throughout the world. An attack, whether militarily or by cyber warfare (which Israel also has the capability of doing) could destroy those enrichment centers and could easily cause radioactive material to be dispersed widespread. Much like how people left Chernobyl when the Russians had their nuclear accident, people in western Iran will flee to get away from the radioactive materials in the ground, water and air. Hopefully, you can see how that headline could easily be fulfilled with an Israeli pre-emptive attack on Iran’s nuclear sites. Of course, you also know Iran will react to this “attack”.
At some time in the near future, the city of Damascus in Syria will be totally destroyed, never to be occupied again. This prophecy has never been fulfilled but since Hezbollah and the Syrian regime have been very active in terrorist attacks against Israel, it can easily be postulated something will cause an attack on Damascus. It may be them continuing to attack Israel and Israel responding. It could be an internal issue where an accident blows up the city or it could be the rebels fighting the Assad regime launching an attack on Syria’s capital city. Whatever causes this utter and complete destruction of one of the oldest cities in the world, it will directly fulfill several other prophecies named in Bible.
“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”
Roughly two years ago Russia, Iran and Turkey (none of which border Israel) formed an alliance for their military cooperation in Syria. All have troops there and Russia has a seaport in Northern Syria. The destruction of Damascus, either by Israel or by others, the attack on the Iranian nuclear sites or the defeat of Iran’s proxies attacking Israel could easily be the catalyst for them combining their invasion of Israel as prophesied in Ezekiel 38 & 39 to once and for all eradicate Israel from being the home of the Israeli Jews. Remember, Russia, Turkey and Iran will invade Israel from the north (Syria and Lebanon). Look at a map and you can easily see the route they will take to get to the nation of Israel. I find it amazing that Russia has an invading force of almost 175,000 on the border of Ukraine. From there it would be relatively easy to go south THROUGH TURKEY AND SYRIA to meet up with Iran and invade Israel.
“And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog (a title similar to “king” or “prince”, not a name), the land of Magog (Russia), the chief prince of Meshech (Moscow) and Tubal, and PROPHESY AGAINST HIM (capitals mine), And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer and all his bands; THE HOUSE OF TOGARMAH OF THE NORTH QUARTERS (capitals mine), and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land (Israel) that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have always been waste: but is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.”
Many people are not aware Israel discovered a few years ago one of the largest natural gas fields in the world. They have agreed to build an underwater pipeline to Europe that will take the natural gas from the west coast of Israel to Cyprus (which Turkey claims is part of their land), to Greece and then on to Italy. From there it can be easily dispersed throughout Europe. Today Europe gets their oil and natural gas from Russia whose new pipeline was sanctioned by President Trump, but whose sanctions have been removed by President Biden. Israel has recently completed drilling their gas wells and the gas pipeline is slated to be completed by 2024. Could this be a reason why Russia has come to Israel “…to take a spoil”?
“Sheba and Dedan (Saudi Arabia and Gulf States), and the merchants of Tarshish (Great Britain), with all the young lions (America?) shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”
I don’t mean to get political but based on what is happening today, can you see a situation where President Biden would issue these words versus how former President would react? Remember, it is not just that many in the world will question why all these countries are invading Israel but NONE of them will ever come to Israel’s support during this attack. Instead, God Himself will unleash His Wrath just as He specifically told the invaders:
“Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?”
What else does God say so we may know the 100% accuracy of His Plan when (or if) we see it happen?
“And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up FROM THE NORTH PARTS (capitals mine)) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel.”
“And I will send a fire on Magog (Russia?), and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles (America?): AND THEY SHALL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD (capitals mine).”
“And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, AND THEY SHALL BURN THEM WITH FIRE SEVEN YEARS (capitals mine).”
“And SEVEN MONTHS SHALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL BE BURYING OF THEM (capitals mine), that they may cleanse the land.”
Five of every six of the invaders will die on the mountains of Northern Israel (next to the border of Syria). It will take seven years to burn the implements of war. It will take seven months to bury the dead. These are pretty specific and if we are still here then the accuracy of His Word coming true right before our eyes should turn many to the Truth of the Bible. In fact, even the Jews will finally recognize Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
“So, the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.”
We are all well aware of rising inflation in the world and here at home. The Bible tells us specifically in the “…latter days” we will see inflation so high it will take an entire day of wages to buy food for just one person. Actions being taken today by many countries around the world, plus the possibility of a world war, are setting the stage for a global economic collapse which will make it very difficult to buy food for oneself, much less our families.
“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse (typically considered to be indicative of famine): and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny, and see thou hurt not the oil and wine (meaning the rich shall not be affected showing the continuing injustice on the earth).”
When you take all these prophecies coming true at the same time, I believe you can see the world is headed for calamity with major wars in the Mid-East centered around Israel, and possibly also severely affecting other countries around the world with war, the possible end of Islam as major religion since all countries (including many parts of Russia) who invade Israel are highly concentrated with Muslims, and inflation that will cause a global economic collapse resulting in famine around the world. The people who survive will look for someone to rule them to ensure stability and peace. Unfortunately, they will not select Jesus Christ but will instead follow a new leader called in the Bible the anti-christ who will confirm the covenant God originally made with Abraham. While this will allow the Jews to have the rights to Israel once and for all and to build their 3rd Holy Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the one who confirms this covenant will finally be revealed for who he is, the anti-christ. This will begin the final 7 years in human history also known as the Tribulation. It will be the worst time ever in history and it will result with Jesus’s Return at Armageddon. Fortunately, those of us who have previously accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior WILL NOT be here when the anti-christ is revealed. Rather, we will be Raptured to meet with Christ in the clouds and will then be with Him forevermore!
So, an attack by Israel on Iran’s nuclear facilities could very well be the catalyst that begins everything mentioned above. There will be a response which could very well lead to the Psalm 83 War and the War of Gog and Magog outlined in Eziekiel 38 & 39. Personally, I believe these could very well happen before the Rapture as I feel many who see these fulfillments prophesied in the Bible will come to believe what He has told us and will give their lives to Jesus. Also, we know the Jews in Israel will be burying the dead for 7 months after the War of Gog and Magog. They will be burning the implements of war for 7 years. We also know at the Abomination of Desolation when the anti-christ enters the then rebuilt Jewish Temple in Jerusalem mid-way through the 7-year Tribulation period the Jews are told to leave Judea immediately. Who will be burning the implements of war if the Jews have been told to leave? Therefore, we can assume the War of Gog and Magog could happen at least 7 years before the Abomination of Desolation which occurs 3 1/2 years before Armageddon and Christ’s Return). This means Christ will Return at least 10 1/2 years after the War of Gog and Magog. I am not adamant about this, but the math sure seems to highlight the proper timing. Since the Rapture will come as “…a thief in the night” so we don’t know exactly when it occurs, we must be prepared for it to happen at any time. While these events could be very scary to many, we should all take solace in what Jesus said:
“According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord (at the Rapture), will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep (died). For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
There we have it. Jesus wants us to tell others His Plan and to make sure we do so as quickly as possible. Do not do this in a scary way but do it in a way that is comforting to others. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, not His. To know all we must do to be saved for eternity is to accept His Gift of pardon and ask Him for the forgiveness of our sins. I often think about a conversation I may one day have with Jesus, and He might ask me why I didn’t tell someone about this. I hope this never happens, so my intent is to do exactly what He has told us to do. I pray you do as well. Please do it now!
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
May God Bless you as we await His soon Return for us at the Rapture!
