“In his (Jesus) days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yea, ALL KINGS (capitals mine) shall fall before him: ALL NATIONS (capitals mine) shall serve him. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and the needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight. And he shall live and to him shall be given the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.”
Psalms 72:7-15
The Book of Psalms, written by several different authors and assembled in approximately 400 BC, began to be written an estimated 3,500 years ago. Even then we were told “he” would rule over righteousness and justice and the WHOLE world would praise him. Has this ever happened in recorded history? Has any ruler ever accomplished redeeming people, saving their souls, delivering them the goods when they are needy or erase from mankind “deceit and violence”? Of course not! Yet 1,500 years before Jesus was even born, we were told “he” would do all these things. While many global leaders have risen promising to do these things, not one has ever fulfilled their “campaign” promises. Only Jesus Christ can and will do what God has ordained.
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
Romans 13:1
The power of God is far stronger than all the powers of world government! Now, let’s be clear. While the anti-christ and false prophet will be thrown into hell when Jesus Returns at Armageddon and Satan will be bound and thrown into the bottomless pit so he can no longer deceive people for Jesus’s 1,000 year Millennium reign on this earth, men and women alive during that time will still have the ability to sin. That is why we are told Jesus will rule “…them with a rod of iron.” No longer will mankind be immune to the penalties of their sin but they will witness firsthand the peace and righteousness which will abound at that time. As Christians we must wonder why would living people who already witnessed the Great Tribulation ever go against the Law when they saw the ultimate consequences of God’s Wrath because of sin?
“And out of his (Jesus) mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
Revelation 19:15
This Scripture doesn’t say Jesus will be mean and will arbitrarily deal with sin. He will reign in peace and righteousness and people who sin will be held accountable. Can you imagine living in a world today where all the lawlessness and sin were quickly, properly and fairly punished? Under Jesus Christ people will know right and wrong and will be punished for doing what is wrong!
Let me step back a moment and clarify what has happened to ALL people ever born when Jesus Christ Returns. First and foremost to all of us alive today, prior to His Return at Armageddon, He has Promised He will return in the clouds at the Rapture. The dead in Christ (meaning those who had previously died up to that point believing in Jesus and had accepted His Gift of Salvation) will rise first. Then we who are alive will join them (the dead in Christ) AND Christ in the clouds. At that point we will be with Jesus FOREVER and will reign with Jesus during the Millennium.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
Revelation 20:6
Secondly, all those who previously died throughout human history before His Return will NOT rise again until the Great White Throne Judgement at the conclusion of Jesus’s 1,000 year Millennium reign on earth. Since they did not believe in Jesus, all of them will be judged by God on their earthly works and will be found lacking and will be thrown into hell for the Second Death. Third, I assume the Old Testament saints (Noah? Abraham?) and those found righteous in the eyes of God but who died before Jesus was born will be saved in some form or another. Finally, this leaves only one group of people left throughout history and that is those who are still alive after His Return at Armageddon, at the beginning of the Millennium. They will live far longer than today (the Bible says someone dying at the age of 100 years old will be viewed as dying like a child). They will marry and have their own children. All of these people will still live as human beings on the earth under the Reign of Jesus Christ, who will be helped by those saints who were Raptured or who were beheaded for their belief in Jesus during the Tribulation.
“Behold, a king (Jesus) shall reign in righteousness, and princes (the saved Christian saints) shall rule in judgement.”
Isaiah 32:1
As the decimated world recovers and is repopulated, many children will be born to those who experienced the Tribulation but who themselves did not go through that horrible time, the worst in the history of the world. Even though they will live in a perfect world, probably similar to the Garden of Eden, and will know Jesus Christ as their King, their propensity to sin will still be there. BUT they also know Jesus Christ is just. He will judge those who do not follow His Law. For 1,000 years there will be peace and harmony in this world and all who sin will quickly and righteously be judged and penalized for their sins. Hopefully, they will learn the errors of their ways and will depart and sin no more.,
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every man have praise of God.”
1 Corinthians 4:5
Apparently, many living on the earth at that time will resent the Law of God and will open their hearts to be deceived. Of course, we know at the end of the Millennium reign of Jesus on this earth Satan will be “loosed” for a short season. Apparently, he will once again go forth deceiving many to believe, like Adam and Eve, they too can be like God and surely will not die. But, Jesus will not wait thousands of years to bring justice to the world and get rid of these sinners. No, he will quickly do what is right! I assume many of those reading this article will agree with me that we anxiously await a world where we finally have true justice FOR ALL! No longer will politicians, corporations, big tech, or any of us get away with doing what is wrong. They will be held accountable and I believe that is a government we can all get behind, the government and Reign of Jesus Christ on this earth!!
“So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.”
Job 34:28-30
After Satan is defeated and thrown into the Lake of Fire where the anti-christ and false prophet have already been tormented for 1,000 years and after those final sinners have had “…fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them” we have another Promise from God, His Best one yet…
“The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.”
Exodus 15:18
All of these events WILL come to pass, whether we are alive at the Rapture, die believing in Him, survive the Tribulation as a saint or die without accepting His Gift of Eternal Salvation. How do we get His pardon of our sins? Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; that He died for your sins; and, repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness. Do these things and you will reign with Jesus and be saved for Eternity. Plus, do one other thing TODAY. Jesus told us directly to “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” His Gift is incredible and we only have to acknowledge that only through Him can we be saved. That is comforting! It is that easy! He loved us enough to die for us and all we need to do is testify to that and we will have an incredible eternal future. Tell others!
I hope you agree with me and decide to vote for the Reign of Jesus Christ. May God Bless you as you cast your ballot!
