“And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the Angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:9-11
During this time of COVID-19 fear and uncertainty, we should always remember Christmas as a time of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just as when the men in the field were fearful when the angel appeared to them, we must consider NOT the fear of what we see going on around us but rather rejoice in seeing the absolute fulfillment of what God has Promised “…to all people.” We have a Savior who was born and died on the cross for our sins! All we must do is repent and accept His Gift of Salvation.
I had the pleasure of meeting Becky a couple of years ago and she told me about this song, which her father wrote, and it intrigued me as it was Christmas time and my wife Diane and I enjoyed going to the shopping mall seeing our two granddaughters standing in line and looking forward to getting their picture taken with Santa Claus. When I listened to it I was immediately in awe of her singing ability and the incredible message she was giving us all, especially at this time of the year. Her song has since had well over five million views on YouTube and I am honored to repost it again, as I have ever since I first heard it. It easily is one of my most favorite Christmas songs.
I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I have and share it with your friends and family. It is not only a beautiful song but is extremely comforting and I believe we can all “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” Remember, if COVID-19 protocols allow you into a shopping mall this Christmas season, remember the words to her song and look for the line to see Jesus!
May God Bless you!
Mike, it is a great song indeed, I cannot listen to it without tearing up. Thank you. My granddaughter just pointed out another song that I was unfamiliar with and it too fills my heart with the emotion of the Love of God to me a sinner. I believe it is called “So will I”. The version below has the lyrics which help me with songs to really understand what the song means. Thanks for posting “Where is the line for Jesus”, God bless you.
Thanks Bill! My daughter, who is a photographer was doing family photos for my neighbor. His daughter in law is Becky so I met her there and she told me about how her dad was in a mall and heard a little boy ask the question. He wrote the song about it. He is the one playing the piano near the end of the video. It has become one of my favorites. God Bless you!
