“And this gospel of the kingdom SHALL BE PREACHED (capitals mine) in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Matthew 24:14
When Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives and described to His disciples (only 12 men) those things which must happen before the end of this world, He was very clear on one very important point. Before the End comes, the Holy Gospel MUST be preached to the entire world. When this happens, His Second Coming is not far off! But think about this for a moment. Jesus, in essence, told His twelve disciples the entire world must be preached to before they could expect to see His Second Coming. Was He telling them they must preach to the entire world? There were only twelve of them and Jesus would not be with them much longer. Obviously, because of the lack of today’s communications (TV, phone, internet, radio, printed texts, etc.) and modern travel capabilities (planes, trains and automobiles), which simply did not exist in 33 AD, Jesus was referring to some future time where the capabilities to preach to every man, woman and child on this earth would only be available AT THAT TIME by those called to proclaim the Truth of His Holy Word.
As I discussed in a recent post (Has the Gospel been Preached YET to the Whole World?) and not wanting to rehash all the things highlighted there which point clearly to the fact we are LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS, I rather wanted to make this post a bit more personal. And please understand, I do this with the utmost humility! I have struggled in trying to communicate this in a way without taking any credit where ALL the credit obviously goes to the Holy Spirit of God! Rather, I wanted to give you just one example of the impact we can all make in fulfilling Biblical prophecy!
If you have previously read my website Introduction you know I spent my entire career in business, both on the manufacturer’s side as well as the distribution side. Early in 1976 I became fascinated with the prophecies of the Holy Bible which I witnessed coming to fruition today. This led me to read and study them extensively for over 43 years now what God specifically told us regarding the things which will soon happen. I have discussed these prophecies with many people over the decades but it wasn’t until a very dear friend of mine, a Christian, told me he had never heard anything about the Rapture. At that moment I heard God calling me to try to explain some of the things prophesied in the Bible and on January 1, 2017, the day after my official career retirement, I began publishing my blog Comfort One Another specifically designed to not try to scare people but simply to make them aware of what the Bible says regarding the coming Last Days. And, I have tried to do this as humbly as I can:
“For we preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ the Lord: and ourselves your servants for Jesus’s sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the lights of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
2 Corinthians 4:5-6
Over these past 31 months I have been truly Blessed to write approximately 140 articles on many of the End Time prophecies. I did this simply to explain to people what the Bible tells us about those things prophesied in the Holy Bible which will occur in the Last Days, not to condone or condemn any individual Christian denomination. What started out as simply a way to send these posts to people who had signed up (initially friends, family and former co-workers) to receive them via email, quickly evolved also into a Facebook page now with over 5,000 followers and LinkedIn connections with over 15,000 people. Of course, I always end my posts encouraging all to hopefully feel motivated to share the message with their friends and family. Because I don’t get statistics on how many share their emails with others, I have no idea how many of those receiving these posts via email do share them. But, with today’s telecommunications tracking abilities, there are many things I do know about where these posts are read.
So, in the 31 months since I began this journey, I have seen these articles double annually in terms of being read. One of my last posts I know it is summer but why is it so darn HOT?, has currently reached over 30,000 people in just a couple of weeks! Even more surprisingly, and I actually don’t know how this has happened, my posts have now been read by at least some people in 112 COUNTRIES! According to Siri, there are 206 countries in the world today. That means at least Comfort One Another is reaching over half of the countries in the world! And these are not just countries like the US, Canada, England, etc. These are countries like Pakistan, India, Kenya, China, Brazil, Australia, Russia and yes, even Israel. Again, I truly tell you this in as humble way as I can and I give all credit and glory to God! Rather, my point instead is how we ALL can impact and fulfill Bible prophecy and preach to “…all nations”! Even more, if you Google some of the topics we have discussed in the past, you will see many of my articles show up. Try for example the “9th of Av prophecy”. It today is at the very top with the first 3 listings. Incredible!
Twelve disciples and approximately 3,000 followers “ordained” during Pentecost could not individually preach to the entire world during their lifetimes! Only many more people preaching the Bible, through the Holy Spirit, could communicate to all the Word of God. Obviously this would take many, many more people over the ages to reach everyone in the world. But, as Jesus told His Disciples in Mark 16:15-16, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. For he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Of course I strongly believe Jesus’s statement to His disciples also applies to ALL of us today, not only the twelve disciples.
“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel. For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.”
1 Corinthians 9:16-17
Whether you personally preach to your family and/or friends; share what the knowledge of Jesus has done for you in your life; or, simply pass on to others what the Holy Spirit has inspired in you to tell others, ALL of us can have an exponential impact on getting His Word out to the entire world. If we join others in this Godly endeavor we can be assured once His Word is preached unto the nations, “…then shall the end come” and we will be in the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior. I find this so comforting to realize if a former businessman, now retired, and a student of Bible prophecy can have at least a very small impact on helping to get His Word out, what would the total impact be if only a fraction of you joined the rest of us in sharing your belief and faith with others? Yes, this is comforting to know we have been given the Holy Spirit and the ability to “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” If you agree, please start/continue today by Liking/Sharing this on Facebook and/or LinkedIn or by forwarding your email (received by signing up on my website) to your friends and family. Encourage them to share the Word of God with others. When the Word is preached to the entire world, then the end will come! Do this and the Bible says we will be rewarded!
May God Bless you in your endeavors to tell others!
I Don’t know if you meant to imply that the end will come as soon as the Gospel reaches the whole world, but it sounds that way. God’s timing is not our timing and it could take a long time between those two events…… The gospel could reach the entire world and it could still be a long time before the end.
You are correct. However, what we know from the Bible is before the End comes, His Word must first be preached to the whole world. I believe that is happening right now.
We get help right before the end:)Revelation 14:6 6Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth-to every nation, tribe, language and people
