I know you have probably seen similar statements from many after yesterday’s horrific events in Florida. The debate WILL continue regarding gun control, mental illness screening, security in public places, etc. As a 60+ year old I easily recall these shootings simply DID NOT occur when I was in school! Why? Because society had not expelled God from public places! The ONLY way to ensure these things do not happen again is to bring God back into our public life. If we don’t and continue to focus on the secondary issues, these kinds of terrible, heart-wrenching events will continue. Please pray with me that we fix this once and for all, the only way we can.
