“For ALL (capitals mine) have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death…”

Romans 6:23

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

Basically, the entire message of the Holy Bible can be summed up in these three verses. We are all sinful. The result (wages) of our sins is eternal “death” or separation from God. Finally, He also gave us a path for eternal Redemption and that is if we believe in Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness of our sins, we will not die but will be saved and will be with Him in Heaven FOREVER! Since Jesus’s death and Resurrection we have had this opportunity to be saved. For those born BEFORE Jesus, most believe for them to be saved they had to live and abide by the Laws of the Old Testament. Unfortunately, nowhere in the Bible does it say we are all ever 100% capable of living by God’s Law. It says we should but because of our sinful nature, we can’t. Even “minor” sins are STILL sins therefore resulting in the Judgement of God.

I have long wondered why it was Noah and his family (wife, three sons and three daughters-in-law) were saved while everyone else on earth died in the Great Flood if “…all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God.” A sin is a sin and worthy of Judgement from God!

“And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”

Genesis 6:6-7

God was extremely disappointed in mankind! HOWEVER, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” – Genesis 6:8. Again, it begs to be asked “How is it possible when there were hundreds of thousands or millions of people alive on the earth at that time, how is it that ONLY Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives found grace from God?” Because of that grace, they alone were saved from the flood waters that killed not only ALL of mankind, but ALL the animals and birds as well. Were they without sin even though the Bible clearly says ALL “…have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”? While Noah and his family were righteous in the eyes of the Lord and spent 120 years building the Ark and telling everyone of the coming destruction UNLESS they repented, there is no question Noah and his family were still sinners. Don’t believe me? Just read Genesis 9:21 about Noah getting drunk! Yet, they were still saved!

How could that be?

I recently read an absolutely intriguing book called Judgement of the Nephilim by Ryan Pitterson. It definitely is one of the most researched books I have ever read and I highly recommend it to you. I believe Mr. Pitterson adequately answers this question in a unique and well researched doctrine that repeats 100% with what the Bible says but also introduced (at least to me) a concept I had never heard of before.

Basically, while I had heard of Nephilim before, I really didn’t know who or what they are/were. Do you remember this quote from the Bible?

“There were giants (Nephilim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God (the fallen angels) came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them (the fallen angels), the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Genesis 6:4-5

The angel followers of Satan were cast down to earth with him and ended up breeding with human women. This created offspring that became a group of giants (think of Goliath) who were not only large and renown but, due to their fallen nature, were also rampant in sin. They were now not only physically half fallen angel and half human beings but spiritually AND continually sinful as well. As the population of the earth grew, so did this “race” of giants who easily would have overcome “normal” humans. At some point God realized He must destroy all of these supernatural, sinful beings because their DNA was corrupted by Satan’s angels! But, in Noah and his family He found grace, possibly because their DNA was not yet tainted! Only through the destruction of the genetic code that now existed in mankind because of the mating between the followers of Satan and the human women on earth could the ultimate lineage leading to Jesus continue. And, what genetic code does the Bible refer to?

“And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly thou shalt go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed (Jesus); it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:14-15

Here God proclaims the battles that will occur between Satan and the seed/Child (Jesus) of the woman. The lineage to Jesus came through Eve (the woman) and those that will battle Jesus will come from the “seed” of Satan. Whoa! Wait a minute! You are probably asking right now, “Are you saying Satan or his demonic angels  had children?” I am not. The Bible says it! The sins of Satan were rampant amongst the fallen angels (the figurative “children” of Satan) and by “breeding” with the women of this world their offspring would then naturally and genetically be half fallen angel and half human woman. Those creatures are defined by the term Nephilim (translated as “giants”) and were VERY sinful.

So, as the human population’s genetic code became polluted with the sin’s of the fallen angels, Satan’s goal of compromising God’s Ultimate Plan for the Messiah who would descend eventually from Eve was put in severe jeopardy. The only solution God had was to destroy these beings (the Nephilim) to allow the non-Satanic genetic code of Noah and his family to repopulate the world.

“The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for ALL FLESH HAD CORRUPTED (capitals mine) his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them (Nephilim); and, behold, I will destroy them (Nephilim) with the earth.”

Genesis 6:11-13

Since only Noah and his family were still genetically clean could the coming Messiah be born as prophesied. By destroying all others in the Flood, God reset the path of Jesus to be born of the virgin Mary. As I have said many times before, Satan will do ANYTHING to disrupt God’s Promise. Since he knew the offspring of Eve would one day defeat him as God proclaimed in the Garden of Eden, the only thing he could do was to try to genetically corrupt mankind so Jesus would be born sinful and that would then invalidate God’s Plan. But, as I wrote about last year in Satan ain’t all that smart!, he STILL ain’t very smart!

To be very honest with you, I had difficulty researching and writing this post, probably more than any one I have written in the past 2 years because this concept of fallen angels mating with women was something I had never heard before. The more I prayed and thought about it, the more I realized how we are warned repeatedly how Satan will do anything he can to deceive all of us and to take us away from the inerrancy of the Word of God. If he would do that, why wouldn’t he introduce corrupted DNA into mankind, thus trying to eliminate Jesus’s legitimacy? The real message here is God found Grace in Noah and his family and saved them BEFORE bringing His Judgement upon a sinful world. Knowing we are now living in the Last Days and seeing so many, many prophecies being fulfilled in our lifetimes, I take real solace and comfort in knowing God will also keep us Believers, just as He did Noah and his family, from the trials and tribulations that will eventually result in Satan’s defeat. He will do this at the Rapture by “snatching” away the Believers before the Tribulation. Read my post The Rapture – God’s Promise for more info. If you are also comforted in knowing this then please help me in spreading His Word to all our families and friends by doing what we are instructed to do and that is to “…therefore comfort one another with these words.” It is easy to accomplish!
